Wristbands

I designed wristbands to try and help raise awarness against racism. I  deisgned 2 kinds of wristbands. One is orange and one is blue. They both have white text that say "We are all equal".  I chose this slogan because I feel like it successfully captures the point of my project. I chose to make wristbands in the first place as I wanted to have a small and easy object to give out and distribute. The bands will be worn by my friends while they play sports such as basketball and swimming. I have also sent some to Ryan Gardner and the Bern hockey team. Nick Gillingham was also sent some of the bands.

Interviews
I had the chance to interview a few people about my project. One of those people was famous Swiss and Canadian Ice Hockey player, Ryan Gardner. Not only did he agree to wear one of my wristbands, he took time out of his day to talk with me about his experiences with racism. (click on picture to see interview). The second person that I managed to speak with was ex-professional player and current head coach at one of the best basketball high schools is the United States, Liz Bona. This website

This website was a place for me to try and put all of my ideas and what I decided to do, in a public place. I wanted to get some of the research on the website, while still letting it be a place to talk about my project as a whole. The website was the second part in my final products, and is going to be used to also help share my interviews with people.
